Workshop: Introducing Giving Voice to Values Africa

Synopsis: Are you interested in bringing Giving Voice to Values (GVV) to your school, university or organization but would like to learn more yourself first? Would you like to improve your own competence and confidence in speaking and acting in service of your values—within your organization or in other areas of your life? In this workshop, Education Collaborative Director Rose Dodd and faculty member Rebecca Awuah will unveil the new GVV Africa online course! In creating GVV Africa over the past 18 months, the Education Collaborative team developed all new cases, videos, and exemplars based on the experiences of African professionals and leaders who have found creative and effective ways of voicing their values at work. In addition to presenting sample content and videos from the course, Rebecca and Rose will share how GVV has been integrated into ethics and leadership education at Ashesi University since 2010 and different approaches for teaching GVV—in the classroom, and organizational settings, using in-person, online and hybrid formats.
