Description: How do you model sustainability when starting a new higher institution or academic program in Africa? For a continent with a predominantly youthful population, the demand for higher education is projected to rise. Rightly, innovators and entrepreneurs are seeking ways to create new institutions and academic programs to cater to the increased demand. Starting such a journey requires strategic foresight and thorough planning to forestall any challenges. In this session, Patrick will share exclusive insights from the Ashesi University example to help educators and administrators plan sustainability ahead of time. He will share tools and strategies for planning for institutional sustainability across operations, finance, impact, and teams.
Target: This is open to higher education executives, especially young institutions under six years of operation across Africa. It is also open to developmental partners supporting the establishment of new higher education institutions and improving higher education outcomes on the continent.
Fee: $500 per institution (financial assistance is available on a need basis)
