Summary Report (Annual Convening 2021)

The Convening commenced officially with an Opening Ceremony that highlighted the Education Collaborative’s agenda for the African continent and ended with a Commitment summit where moderators guided participants to develop action plans from the insights of the Convening. The Education Collaborative announced a grant for attendees to apply for funding to implement these post-convening projects.

2020 Virtual Conference Report

The virtual conference was held as a result of COVID-19 restrictions on in-person meetings. It engaged 285 participants from 37 countries across four continents; Africa, North America, Asia and Europe. With 35 countries in Africa. It focused on the unfolding strategies for university teaching and management during the COVID pandemic.

University Stakeholder Symposium 2019, Ghana Report

As the youth population in Africa grows exponentially, there must be collaborative efforts to advance education to this youth. The report chronicles the insights of major players in Ghanaian higher-ed in the first university stakeholders symposium to discuss the nexus of employers, government, and universities to providing value in higher education to a growing youthful population.

Defining Success for African Universities

This report responds to important questions on what defines the success of an African higher-education institution. Given that university mission differ on the continent, how do we define a system that encourages missions that actively and measurably contribute to the development of Africa given the contextual realities of the continent.
