2025 June Convening

Mobilizing resources, and realigning efforts toward a transformed student experience.

Reflecting, Mobilizing, and Realigning Efforts for a Transformational Student Experience

The Education Collaborative’s June Convening provides a unique opportunity for stakeholders in African higher education to share innovations and deliberate on strategies that enhance quality educational outcomes in Africa. It harnesses the collective expertise of institutions and educators to create an educational system that supports the development agenda of the Africa continent.

The Convening also serves as a platform for institutions to build their capacity. They share learnings and expertise, obtain resources, and receive guidance to create strategic roadmaps for systemic changes in their respective institutions.

Refocusing  our Aim on Student Development

From 2020 to 2023, under the theme “Building the Capacity of Institutions to Improve African Higher-Ed Outcomes,” The Collaborative has demonstrated that cross-institutional learning, contextualizing, and adopting successful models among institutions improves education outcomes.

However, to deepen this impact, it is imperative to refocus on student development. The 2025 June Convening will serve as a platform for institutions to evaluate past and current practices, assess their contributions to improved student outcomes, mobilize resources, and realign efforts toward a transformed student experience.
