Innovation and Design Incubator and Maker Space Program

The Innovation and Design Incubator and Maker Space Program was initiated with a case study focusing on the Ilimi Innovation Lab in African Development University (ADU) in Niger.

Over the course of six months a team of consultants, led by Jewel Thompson, Lecturer, Ashesi University, through the Education Collaborative, worked with the leadership team of ADU to develop the strategic plan and capacity of the Illimi Innovation Lab (iiLAB) in ADU with the provision of tools, resources, and entrepreneurial innovation curriculum design. Learning from ADU’s case study, the project will soon impact other universities on the continent seeking to improve entrepreneurship outcomes.
