Ahead of the Education Collaborative 2022 Annual Convening, this speaker session kickstarts the conversation on improving employability outcomes. Employer engagement forms an integral part of higher-ed institutions’ career strategy to improve their employability outcomes. Higher-ed institutions use career fairs to engage employers more closely. How do institutions strategize for careers fairs as part of their employer engagement and career development strategy? How do they recruit, prepare and incentivize students, graduates and employers to increase participation? What are the budgeting, logistical, and planning considerations made in hosting both in-person, virtual, or hybrid career fairs? And, how is success measured?
In this speaker session, we take a deep dive into how Kepler responds to these questions in hosting careers that have contributed to 90% of their graduates gaining employment or pursuing further studies within 6 months of graduation. Participants will identify practical strategies in organizing careers fairs to support the employability efforts of their institution.
