Synopsis: The panel will share practical experiences and highlight the components of DEI in African higher-ed institutions. It will explore DEI along gender diversity, disability inclusion, marginal communities’ representations, race and multiculturalism, region and residence, and the intersectionality of these DEI dimensions. Panelists will discuss the existing structural, institutional innovations and approaches HEIs on the continent have adopted to improve their DEI outcomes. At the end, these discussions will show the importance of DEI in African higher education.
