Higher Education Stakeholder Symposium

Collaboratives for Africa’s transformation: Our impact and role for the future

Engaging focal areas, propelling transformation

The Higher Education Stakeholders Symposium is a forum at the June Convening for engaging the broader stakeholders of Africa’s higher education sector on focal areas identified by exemplary higher-ed institutions as central to transformation.

Participants at the Symposium include executive leaders, faculty, and administrators of higher education, regulators, policy makers, industry, and professionals from development agencies. The Symposium will welcome some 250 participants in person.

“No one university can confront Africa’s higher education challenge by itself – we need a strong collective. To enable this, we believe a new model for higher ed partnership and collaboration – not just competition – is needed to bring institutions and stakeholders across sub-Saharan Africa together to work towards a collective set of student outcomes and goals.”

– Patrick Awuah, President, Ashesi University
